Fofana and Openda lead Lens to a 2-0 win over rivals Metz in the Coupe de la Ligue final on Wednesday night.

The match was a tense affair, with both teams creating chances but failing to find the back of the net until the 88th minute when Fofana scored his first goal for Lens since joining from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.

Openda then added a second for Lens just three minutes later to secure their place in the French Cup final next month.

The victory means that Lens will be playing in the Coupe de France final next weekend, while Metz will have to settle for third place in the league table after finishing one point behind leaders Monaco.

Lens manager Christophe Galtier said: "It's been a long journey for us this season, but we've worked hard and come a long way."

He added: "We're proud of what we've achieved tonight and we'll continue to work hard to achieve more success."
