Crystal Palace have announced the signing of a new contract with the club's former coach, Frank Lampard.

The agreement sees Lampard as Crystal Palace's new Head Coach for the next two seasons and will see him take over from current manager, Eddie Howe.

Lampard is known for his tactical expertise and has worked closely with Crystal Palace's management team during his time at Chelsea, where he was appointed as their Head Coach in 2014.

He has also had success in the Premier League and has won two league titles with the Blues.

The move comes after Lampard was unable to return to Chelsea due to a series of injuries, but he is now ready to take on the challenge of leading the club back into the top flight.

Lampard will be joined by former player James Ward-Prowse who will be taking on the role of Assistant Manager.

Both men have experience of working with players and managers at all levels and are looking forward to getting stuck in and making an impact on the squad this season.

The signing of Lampard and Ward-Prowse marks another important step in the development of Crystal Palace's coaching staff and could provide valuable experience and guidance for future signings.

The club will also look to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season, with several key signings expected to come in from the transfer market.
